-set to be heavily attended by his quarter-litre competition- but the Hungarian only expects to see the true state of the category to become apparent at the following test at Jerez.
The former 125cc World Champion has been in strong form since the turn of the year, looking ever more comfortable on ‘Vikki’ –his new Aprilia RSA. Learning the bike and recuperating his tender wrist have been priorities for Talmacsi over the winter months, and he will be expected to push for the podium in his rookie season.
"It’s still early to see how quick we are able to go. The adaptation is going fantastically, and we will carry on working at each test in order to get better,” says the 28 year-old. I suppose that in Jerez, when all the 250cc riders will get on track, is when we will be able to see what level we are at and to what we can aspire.”
The prior Portuguese visit will take place from March 15th-17th, over a month since his last outing at Valencia, and Talmacsi is eager to get back on the bike.
"I am really looking forward to Estoril, because the countdown to the new season has really started. I will be giving my all to see if I am ready to go yet. I’m hoping for a good start to the season, as Qatar is one of my favourite tracks.”
